This book is written
primarily for individuals working with, or wishing to work
with, parents of those teens and young adults who are
marching to a different drummer.
However, since we believe that parents are their
children's first and most important teachers, we also
invite parents facing the challenges of raising difficult
children to put themselves in the role of the coach, put
their children in the role of the 'client,' and join us in
becoming family coaches.
This book offers 12 coaching skills. These encompass the
International Coach Federation's (ICF) Eleven Core
Competencies as well as skills we deem crucial for
effective coaching of in-crisis parents and families.This
